What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that some services use to save and keep some of your navigation data. They are stored in your browser when you visit a website and serve as a kind of “short term memory” for your browsing session. For instance, cookies can be used to keep you logged in a website even if you close it and you come back to it later.

Cookies are saved on the browser you are using in that precise moment to surf the Internet: so they concern that particular browser, not the person who is using the browser in that moment.

Cookies we need to use (essential cookies)

Some cookies are installed in your browser because they are necessary for the website to work correctly. For example, they are used to remember who you are, whether you are logged in the website or not (and what is your user account) and what are your preferences; for example, they remember what is your preferred language for browsing the website. These cookies are not used to track or profile you.

What happens if you don't accept these cookies?

This website wouldn’t work at all if you didn’t accept these cookies. So, you have to accept them if you want to surf this website.

Cookies that help me understand what you do on my website (analytics cookies)

These are the cookies that provide analytics data. We use them to track your visits and understand how you use our website, and also to improve it and to detect fraud and abuse. These cookies are used for tracking, but not for individual user profiling, and we don’t use them for direct marketing.

What happens if you don't accept these cookies?

We don’t get your tracking data. But that’s OK for us. ❤

Advertising Cookies

As stated in my Privacy Policy, I installed a Facebook pixel (here is their privacy policy: https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/) and a Google pixel (their privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy), that allow me to track and analyze the results of the advertising campaigns I may run. I don’t collect any of your personal data with these pixels, but I keep track of what you do when you land on my website coming from Facebook or YouTube.

What happens if you don't accept these cookies?

I can’t use Facebook and Google pixels to advertise my products. And that’s fine by me. ❤

All the other cookies

A lot of services use cookies in order to function. On my websites, I may embed media that are hosted on YouTube (their privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy), Vimeo (their privacy policy: https://vimeo.com/privacy), and Anchor (their privacy policy: https://anchor.fm/privacy), so they might try to use cookies according to their own privacy policies.

What happens if you don't accept these cookies?

You might not be able to see some of the media on this website.

Conservation of your Cookies

There are two types of Cookies. Session Cookies are temporary and are deleted from your device once you close your browser. Persistent Cookies remain on your device for a period of 2 years or until you delete them.

Your Cookie Choices

Most web browsers are set to accept cookies by default. However, you can adjust your browser settings to refuse cookies or alert you when cookies are being sent to your device. Please note that blocking or deleting cookies may impact your experience on our website.

If you accepted cookies from Facebook and YouTube in the past, but you want to revoke your consent, you can do so by clicking on the button below.
