HOW DOES IT WORK?
AB OVO is a free online course for anyone taking their first steps in learning Latin (or switching from "grammar-translation" to a communicative approach).

Here's the full schedule for the challenge:

First video lesson, where we’ll go through Imperium Romanum, Chapter 1 from Ørberg’s LLPSI (Familia Romana). It will be an interactive lesson, with questions and a final challenge for you!

How did the Romans see the world? 
The second video lesson is all about ancient geography—and of course, it’s all taught in spoken Latin! But don’t worry: the content builds up on the previous lesson, and you’ll realize you understand much more than you expected.

Third video lesson, where you’ll take your first steps into Latin literature and complete a fun little detective challenge I’ve prepared for you…

The final session will be streamed live on Monday, May 26 at 20:30 Italy time (a recording will be available to everyone subscribed). At the end, I’ll present my renovated GLL course, which has been closed for more than a year, and there’ll be special offers and bonuses for those who decide to enroll during the event!

ABOUT YOUR TEACHER
Salve! I’m Irene: Italian Classical Philologist, Latin teacher and founder of Satura Lanx.
Since 2019, I’ve helped more than 750 Latin learners reach fluency thanks to my unique teaching method, inspired by the Natural Method, Comprehensible Input, and some of the best teachers in the world.
What’s the secret? From day 1, my students are trained to think in Latin. They get used to the flow of the Latin sentence, learn tons of new words almost effortlessly, and are exposed to real literary texts from the very beginning.
ANY QUESTIONS?
The majority of the resources I’ll be sending you during this challenge (starting May 22) are pre-recorded videos you can watch whenever you have time during the day.
The fourth and final lesson (on Monday, May 26) will be streamed live at 20:30 Italy time. I’ll record the session and send out the replay to anyone subscribed, so even if you can’t join it live, it won’t be a problem.
You’ll have time to watch the video lessons and be in the private Telegram group until May 30.
I won’t correct your exercises personally, but I’ll be in the Telegram group to give you my support during the challenge.
Also, during the final live class on Monday, May 26, there’ll be a Q&A time and other opportunities to interact with me.
The Ab ovo challenge is perfect for absolute or lower beginners. No previous knowledge of Latin is required!
It can also be a great fit if you’re at a more advanced stage but you want to gain fluency and/or start to use Latin (more) actively.
