A 10-week practical course that will transform your Latin skills from passive into active.
“I’d like to train my mind to really think in Latin instead of trying to translate all the time.”
“I struggle to start a conversation with others in Latin, because I’m afraid I’d make too many mistakes.”
“I understand most of what I hear, but if I try to speak myself, I’m unable. I think about all the grammar behind every word and find I just can’t think fast enough.”
“I wish I could improve my expression skills and be able to express myself effortlessly in a fluent, elegant way as you and other Latin speakers do.”
“I find it hard to bridge the gap between LLPSI and ‘oral’ Latin and ‘literary’ Latin, and I can’t find intermediate level texts or material to practice with after LLPSI…”
“My goal at the moment is to become a fluent Latin reader.”
“I wish I could find a way to really retain vocabulary and be able to actually use it on the go in my own sentences.”
Let’s face it. Going from 0% to 80% in Latin can be hard, but climbing up that cliff from 80% to 100%… is just incomparably harder!
Will transform you into an active learner, amplify your results,
fill your gaps with certainties and your backpack with all the confidence and practical tools you’ll need
to rock your own road to Latin perfection and enjoy the rest of your journey for life.
Be prepared to sweat: this is a 10-week, hands-on course:
it won’t work unless you actually do it.
Let’s state the obvious: I’m not a perfect Latin speaker. And even if I’m sincerely flattered when someone tells me so, I’m not nearly among the best speakers living today.
However, I can say with confidence that I am a fluent Latin speaker, reader and writer. How do I know? I can open any Latin text and understand what I’m reading at first (or sometimes second) sight, I can talk about anything on the spot using complex, correct Latin sentences, and, while I do make mistakes sometimes, I always know how to correct them on a second thought.
During my high school years, I participated in many certamina (translating competitions), and won all of them. I got my master’s degree in Classics and Classical Philology from the most selective Italian university (the Scuola Normale of Pisa). I piled up an experience of 17+ years with Classics, 10+ years with living Latin and 10+ years in effectively teaching students of all ages, countries and backgrounds, both offline and online (with 260+ students enrolled in my beginners’ course since 2019).
The truth is, you don’t need to be perfect to be an effective teacher — you only need to be good enough for your students, embrace constant self-improvement as a lifestyle and accept that perfection is nothing but a work in progress. You don’t need to wait to be perfect before you give your students the tools they need to work on their own perfection — all you have to do is accept that one of your students might outdo you someday.
I got where I am now because I’ve been struggling daily on my own route to Latin perfection for almost two decades (two thirds of my life so far!), and I still do.
Along the way, I learnt some ways to amplify the effort I put in, and this is what this course is all about.
What I’ll share during these 10 weeks is my personal recipe for perfection, tested on myself and my students and tailored to your needs, backed with science and powered by a constant listening to your feedback.
Everything is in Latin, of course, and if you are here, I’m sure I don’t need to explain to you why. As I’m always on the road and perfecting myself, this course might be perfected more than once in the future; if you decide to trust me now, I’ll make sure to give you access to all the new versions of it.
So if you’re eager to set out on your unique route being 100% confident that you have the best tools in your backpack, yes, you are in the right place.

You’re currently at an intermediate level (or higher).
You’ve read through Familia Romana and you feel ready to move forward.
You’re comfortable with all the basic grammar and high-frequency vocabulary of Latin.
You can comfortably understand all the videos and podcasts from Satura Lanx, including the one at the top of this page.
You’re ready to create a daily routine of Latin practice during the 10 weeks of this course, and actively commit to working on your skills.
You identify as an independent learner who doesn’t need a lot of hand holding to get things done.
You’re currently at an intermediate / advanced level and you wish to take your skills to the next level.
You’re already familiar with some Latin writings, you can read intermediate texts quite comfortably and you don’t feel completely lost when attempting more advanced ones.
You’ve gone through Familia Romana more than once and you’ve already taken some further steps (like reading Roma Aeterna, other books from the same publisher, original or simplified Latin texts…).
You attended Latin courses and/or conventicula in the past.
(Your) Perfect Latin CURRICULUM is a 10-week, 10-module course. Each module includes video lessons, audio trainings, worksheets and exercises. All the materials in the course are entirely on-demand (all the video lessons are pre-recorded) and they’ll be available at any time.
Each one of the 10 modules will be released weekly: once you sign up, you’ll be able to unlock one new module every Monday inside the course platform. Once the modules are released, they’ll be yours forever and available for (re)watching at any time.
Here’s what you’ll learn in each module:
Week 1:
Mindset and fuel
You’ll identify your own speaking (and writing) blocks and you’ll learn some effective ways to deal with them. You’ll get to know the difference between active, passive and proactive learning and get started on your journey.
Week 2:
Solid foundations
(Vocabulary)
You’ll learn how to use any text you read as a goldmine of vocabulary and idioms, and how to commit them into your long term memory so that they’re acquired forever (and ready to use whenever you need them).
Week 3:
Your pathway
to fluency
You’ll learn my O.C.E.L.L.I. method to conquer any Latin text and read it with ease. Then, you’ll get and master a new set of tools and exercises that will bring your active skills to the next level and make you a fluent reader, speaker and writer by leveraging any text you read (or listen to).
Week 4:
Style
matters
You’ll discover what it really means (and what it would mean for a Roman) to be stylish! You’ll learn how to analyse a Latin text from a stylistic standpoint, dig into its infinite layers of sense (through the birthday cake approach) and go beyond its literal meaning, straight to the essence. Eventually, you’ll master some practical exercises that’ll allow you to start from texts to streamline your composition and polish your prose (and poetry!) writing.
Weeks 5-9:
Bringing it all
together
Prepare to sweat for 5 weeks of intensive training! Every week you’ll work vertically on a different text, put all the tools and exercises acquired during the first part of the course to the test and get to know the ins, outs (and also the ups, downs, abouts and beyonds) of the text. At the end of it, those texts won’t have any secrets for you anymore, and, most importantly, you’ll be able to autonomously apply your new study routine to any text, input or situation.
Week 10:
The ultimate fix
You’ll fill the grammar, syntax and vocabulary gaps you were left with from your previous learning (yes, they’re there… even if you didn’t even know!) and you’ll learn how you can drill them so efficiently that they’re acquired for good and become automatic reflexes.

This course’s going to give you some powerful tools you need to strengthen your active Latin skills, and keep working in autonomy.
However, I want to give you the opportunity to try it out without any risks. If you find that (Your) Perfect Latin CURRICULUM is not the right fit for you, you have 15 days from your purchase to request a complete refund.
Once you sign up, you’ll find the Welcome Week waiting for you. Then you’ll unlock one new module (with video lessons, worksheets and resources) every Monday. If for whatever reason you’re unable to keep up with the modules, no stress: once all the modules are released, you’ll have access to all course videos and materials forever.
The core video trainings will take 25 hours to watch. You can binge watch them all at once, or (much better) pace yourself and tackle one module per week. Besides the video lessons, expect to work 30 minutes to 1.5 hours per day on your homework during the 10 weeks.
All the video lessons in the course are pre-recorded.
You’ll have lifetime access to the course and its future updates.
This is an on-demand course. Once you enroll, you get access to one of the 10 modules every week starting the first Monday from the day of your purchase. However, you can decide to start whenever you want – all the materials in the course will be yours forever!
Can you comfortably understand (most of) what I’m saying in the video at the top of this page? Do you think you know all the basic Latin grammar? Have you already read the whole book Familia Romana (LLPSI)? If you answered YES to at least 2 of these 3 questions, then you’ll be able to follow this course.
And if you fear that (Y)PLC is going to be too easy for you… believe me, it’s not. Because this course lets you become your own teacher, you’ll be the one to decide how much you want to push your limits.
Disclaimer: If you decide to enroll even if you don’t satisfy the minimum requirements yet, I can’t assure you that you’ll get any of the expected results.
There is no superior limit as to those who can benefit from (Y)PLC. If the most renowned Classics Professor (and even Cicero himself) were to take this course, they wouldn’t be losing their time. Not because I know more than them, but because the method I teach in the course is designed to empower your self-improvement and amplify your effort. (If you think about it, the best psychologists are always in therapy and top-level athletes are still trained by a coach.)
This course gives you all the tools and information you need to get to 100% as an independent learner. Just how close to it you get (and when) depends on a number of factors such as your time, motivation and language experience. If getting to a perfect mastery of the Latin language today is virtually impossible, it’s possible to reach very high levels of fluency and understanding of the language. Thanks to this intensive course, you’ll be able to keep learning Latin efficiently and enjoyably over a long period of time.
All the course content (video lessons, exercises and support materials) is 100% in Latin.
To be clear, this is not a one-on-one coaching program, so there will not be individual critiques. However, I do have two ways to help you learn and improve:
No, it won’t be possible to enroll in (Y)PLC after the 30th of June. The next opening of the program will be in December 2022.
Absolutely! If you’re lucky enough to know someone who’d love to get a Latin course for their birthday, this will be the perfect gift. Just purchase the course yourself, then drop me an email at saturalanx@saturalanx.eu, and we’ll create an account for the person you want to gift.
